Real Living

If you have known me for a few years, you know I tried this whole “blog” thing a while ago. I would be on my game for about a month and then you wouldn’t see or hear from me for another couple. I realized that wasn’t fair to you the reader and it wasn’t doing anything for me the writer but creating another stone to carry in my increasing heavy bag of “things to do.”

Fast forward 3 years. I have been consistently writing for Body3 and have enjoyed the process and thought I need to get back to personally blogging. At my core I have always been a writer. I think writer’s start to question themselves though and wonder if anyone is truly reading their content.

Maybe you are….and quite possibly…maybe you are not. I can’t let that hinder me from writing.

So here I embark on my second go-around of blogging…a little older, a few more stories under my belt, a lot less stressed, and hopefully a whole lot wiser.

I would love to promise you it will be your go-to for all things health and fitness but as I continue on my own journey, I realize true health and fitness is very simply…life. The awake part and the sleeping part. All the little pieces make up my overall well-being and I would be remiss if I only shared recipes with you or awesome workouts. But really that is only 20% of the journey.

I use the analogy often, but Zig Ziglar talks about the wheel of life and if one of the spokes is broken, the wheel will continue to turn but eventually if one doesn’t fix that spoke, the whole wheel will break and come off.

You can’t out train a bad diet. Awesome nutrition will not make up for poor sleeping habits. Amazing programing means nothing if you are not hydrated and so on, and so on, and so on.

So this blog will be about all things health and fitness but the real health and fitness. Nutrition, programming, emotional and relational well-being, sleeping, learning, growing and most importantly being who you were meant to be.

I don’t want to over-promise and under-deliver so I will only be blogging once a week. This keeps me consistent and you not bored to tears…because really…I am not sure I would want to read about my life everyday and I am confident you don’t either 😉

So join me on this journey of Real Living!
